Russandol spending time with the Ambarussa. Felt like drawing a fluffy brotherly moment between the Feanorean redheads. Back in Aman, during the blissful times, when everybody was carefree and happy. Ah, those were the days...
This one took me *so* long to complete! That particular semi-red-semi-copper hair color took 4 colors to achieve, plus pencil. I failed miserably with that hand and the forshortening though.... for a moment I thought that chopping it off a bit earlier wouldn't hurt. Sorry for the black humor, Maedhros.^^ But I'm happy with everything else.
I am sorry for the cropping of the image, but it was the result of a stupid accident involving me walking on the street with my drawings on one hand, and the rain starting to pour down ten minutes after I left the house. Ugh, I always hated rain. The drawings were inside a paper folder, but that didn't stop some drops from reaching them And then the paper 's low parts looked like a mess. So I had to crop the legs; I don't know how to fix it. The lineart is still intact though, so you can see the whole image here: [link]
---- Would anyone like to give me a critique on what is bad/good and on what to correct/improve/keep this way? If you'd like to, I'd really appreciate it. ............................
I love brotherly moments like this. Great colouring - the colour scheme is overall IMHO nicely "tuned down".
I doubt I can come with any criticism that hasn't already been mentioned, but yeah, hands are problematic. It kind of works with soft kids' hands, but in adults' hands the bones and the knuckles would probably be more defined. Also, the body of the Ambarussa standing on Russandol's right (I don't know which one of the twins you thought him of as) is pretty small. His legs in the lineart look too tiny. Here it doesn't show, though, so it's good, but his forearm still seems to bend in a bit awkward way. But as I said, the colouring is prety! And I just noticed Maitimo's hairadornament - a nice subtle detail. ^^
Me too Thank you! Pencil did a lot in this color "tuning down".
And thank you very much for the critique, I appreciate it a lot! I will try harder next time
You noticed the hairadornament, yay! I don't generally imagine Maedhros wearing things in his hair, but then he was younger, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to have one, heh
A very warm scene indeed) As for defects - Ambarussa's bodies are too little for their heads and age (judging by their faces), especially speaking of the right one. and Maitimo's arm is too small for an adult and a large man - sorry, Elf) But in the whole there's a potential)
I see what you mean. I will try to practise more on these defects in the future. Thank you for taking the time to point them out to me. I really appreciate all constructive critisism; my warmest thanks!
Wow, this is great! I really adore it! Shading is done very well, and all three are just adorable! I totally must say it, improvement over time really shows! I am glad you're doing it better and better with every new try, dear Ana!
Thank you for the lovely words, darling! It's wonderful to see you say I've improved. It really lifts my spirits! I'll keep trying! (Just so you know, my name is written with double "n" - Anna. It doesn't come from a longer name.)

I wish you success!
I wouldn't see him wearing anything that special either, besides that copper circlet. But this fits him.
